About Starlit Digital
Starlit Digital is an independent digital studio in Edmonton, Alberta. We create software, developer tools and experiences for readers, bringing clear purpose and careful engineering to each project.
What we make
Starlit Digital brings research, code, design and lived experience together. Voci helps karaoke hosts run their shows. Our local command line tools support developers and operators. Voci Community Central brings singers and hosts together. EvansWiki gives readers a place to explore Chris Simmons’s Evansphere books and the science around them.
Understanding the work
We begin with the people who will use the project. We look at their routines, the information they need and the problems they encounter before choosing how to build it.
Design and development
We favour readable pages, straightforward controls and predictable behaviour. The design should help people get their work done without unnecessary steps.
Maintaining our projects
We maintain our projects as they develop, with attention to reliability, accessibility, privacy and security. Documentation explains what is available and what remains in development.
